My Story
I completed my undergraduate education at the University of California, Santa Barbara. I studied Global and International Studies and thought someday I might want to work for something like the IOC. I also rowed in college which was an experience that ended up defining my college experience and completely determining my life trajectory. Through rowing I found confidence, passion, lifelong friends AND met my husband and my best friend in life. We now have three amazing kids together. In addition to all of that, I also found a passion for coaching.
After graduating from UCSB I became a rowing coach and started finding way to challenge myself post-college so I started running marathons to stay active and motivated. It was through these combined experiences (my college rowing experience, running marathons, leading an active lifestyle) that led me towards a deep interest in nutrition for performance.
I ended up going back to school and received my Masters of Science in Nutrition from the University of Pittsburgh and I became a Registered Dietitian. From there I started Using Food To Fuel, LLC and began helping my clients find success in their athletic and personal lives through changes in their nutrition habits.
I am so thankful for the course my life has taken. I love being a Mom and I love helping my clients strive to be the best version of themselves. Working toward performance goals can be tedious and requires patience, but it is oh so rewarding once you hit that PR or win that seat race. For me it's all about the journey of helping my clients take those little steps to reach those big goals.

My Family of 6 (5 humans + 1 dog)
My family is the light of my life. All 3 of our boys were born in Pittsburgh, PA which is where Rick and I were also married. After living in Pittsburgh for 9 years, we layed down some deep roots, made amazing friends and will be Steelers fans for life!
We moved to Ashland, OR after we lived in Pittsburgh and spent 5 wonderful years raising our kids and exploring all that beautiful Southern Oregon has to offer. What an amazing landscape Oregon has and again, what great friends we made and more deep roots were placed.
We have now re-located to Sarasota, FL where we are enjoying the outdoors all year long! The beaches, flat road running, and tropical birds are some of my favorite things so far!
We enjoy being active and playing sports and games of all sorts with our kids! Our kids are willing to try my food creations but are definitly my toughest critics. When I find a recipe they enjoy - I know it's a keeper and try to share it with anyone who will listen!!
